2012’de CERN’de keşfedilen Higgs Bozonu (Skaler Bozon, Scalar Boson) uzun bir zamandır bekleniyordu. Fakat keşfi biraz mahmetli ve masraflı oldu.

Ben bunu “Spinör Konformal/Konforal Alan Teorileri” Yüksek Lisans, Master tezimde bu konulara değinmiştim. Tezimde 9 kere Higgs, 23 kere Skaler Alan, 6 kere Bozon ifadesi kullanmışım. Hatta yaptığım yayın [1-13, 2n-Dimensional at Fujii Model Instanton-Like Solutions and Coupling Constant’s Role between Instantons with Higher Derivatives. Mehmet Keçeci, Turkish Journal of Physics Turk. J. Phys., 35, (2011), 173-178.] bu tezden çıkmıştır. Onlardan şimdi örnekler vereceğim. [14, 15]

Bu tezden sonra yaptığım “Kuantum Alan Teorisi” seminerimde de yine Higgs Alanlarından bahsetmişim. [16]

Daha sonraki bir çok makalemde de Higgs’ten bahsetmişim. [17-22] Fizik için önemli olan bir buluştu. Tabii ki bunu ortaya çıkaranların da (Peter W. Higgs , François Englert [25, 26] ve diğerleri Gerald Guralnik, Richard Hagen, Tom Kibble, Robert Brout) bu ödül doğal olarak haklarıdır.

2008, 2010 [27] ve bu yıl 2013-2014 öğretim döneminde yine ilk ders olarak “Nasıl Bir Evrende Yaşıyoruz? Yaşadığımız Evreni Merak Edenler. What kind of a universe are we living in? Those who are curious about the universe we live in.” [28]
